Allergic Rhinitis & Sinusitis
Relief for allergic rhinitis, sinus congestion, post-nasal drip, and recurrent colds. Nasya, steam, and medicines are used to clear the head and reduce Kapha-Vata irritation.
About this treatment
Pratishyaya and Dushta pratishyaya include sneezing bouts, watery or thick nasal discharge, blocked nose, sinus pressure, reduced smell, and cough from post-nasal drip. Dust, AC air, monsoon, and dairy at night often aggravate Kapha in the head. Chronic cases become Vata-Kapha with dryness and recurring blockage.
Nasya is the main local therapy: medicated oil or juice is given through the nose after a short steam and face oleation, so medicine reaches the sinuses and upper channels. Internal medicines reduce allergy tendency and thicken or dry the discharge as needed. We also correct sleep, cold drinks, and bath-hair wetting that keep the complaint alive.
