Udvartan

An upward herbal powder massage that reduces Kapha and Meda, supports weight care, and leaves the skin warmer and firmer. It is an active therapy, not a gentle oil spa.

Udvartan at Vishwashree Clinic Thane

About this treatment

Udvartana is rubbing the body with dry or slightly oily herbal powders against the hair direction, usually with some pressure. It increases warmth, breaks sluggish Kapha, supports reduction of Meda, and improves the feel of the skin. It is a classical partner to weight-management and Kapha-type lethargy, and is also used before certain Panchakarma sequences.

Powders may include Kulatha, Triphala, or other physician-chosen churna. At Vishwashree Clinic Udvartan is combined with diet and internal medicines when the goal is weight. A sitting can feel stimulating. Hydration and a warm bath or wipe-down after powder removal are explained so you do not catch a chill.
