Shirodhara
A steady stream of warm medicated oil on the forehead to quiet the mind, ease migraine and anxiety, and support sleep. It is deeply relaxing, and still a medical therapy with a chosen oil.
About this treatment
Shirodhara pours a continuous dhara of oil, takra, or other liquids over the forehead (Ajna region) for a fixed time. It pacifies Vata and Pitta of the mind, improves sleep, and reduces the wired-tired state many city patients live in. It is used for insomnia, anxiety, migraine, hypertension-related stress (when BP is controlled), and hair-scalp heat with fall.
The oil is not random. Brahmi, Ksheerabala, or other tailas are chosen after Nadi Pariksha. At Vishwashree Clinic you lie still, the stream is kept even, and the sitting lasts long enough to shift the nervous system, not three hurried minutes. A short rest afterwards is required so the benefit stays.
