Uttarbasti
A specialised Basti through the uterine or urinary passage for selected gynaecological and urinary conditions. It is planned only after examination and is always physician-supervised.
About this treatment
Uttarbasti is the administration of medicated oil or decoction into the uterus (in women) or the urethral passage (in selected urinary and male reproductive complaints). Classically it is used for tubal or endometrial issues discussed in Ayurvedic terms, recurrent genitourinary Vata-Kapha problems, and some infertility or menstrual disorders that have not responded to oral medicines alone.
Because it is an invasive-feeling procedure, fitness, timing in the cycle, infection screen, and consent matter. At Vishwashree Clinic it is never offered as a casual add-on. Sterile preparation, the correct temperature of medicine, and rest after the sitting are part of the protocol. Oral medicines and diet continue around it.
