Arthritis, Spondylosis & Pain Treatment
Joint and spine care for arthritis, spondylosis, sciatica, and chronic stiffness. Warm oil therapies, Basti, and herbal medicines are chosen to calm Vata and protect movement.
About this treatment
Arthritis, cervical and lumbar spondylosis, frozen shoulder, and nerve pain are often seen in Ayurveda as Vata disorders, sometimes with Ama (inflammatory residue) or Kapha stiffness. Pain may be worse in the morning, after sitting, or in cold weather. At Vishwashree Clinic we look at the joint, the spine, digestion, and daily routine together instead of only suppressing pain.
Local therapies such as Abhyangam, Swedan, Kati Basti, Greeva Basti, and Pinda Swed help nourish joints and ease spasm. Internal medicines reduce inflammation and support Asthi-Majja dhatu. Basti is often the main Panchakarma when pain is chronic, radiating, or linked with constipation and dryness.
Who it may help
- Osteoarthritis, rheumatoid-pattern joint pain, and morning stiffness
- Cervical or lumbar spondylosis, sciatica, and disc-related pain
- Frozen shoulder, knee pain, and sports or work-related strain
- People who want fewer painkillers and better daily mobility
Care at Vishwashree Clinic
After Nadi Pariksha and examination, a course of local therapies is planned, often 7 to 14 sittings, with medicines at home. Acute swelling, fever, or red-hot joints are handled cautiously and may need investigations before oil treatments.
- Local oil pooling, massage, and herbal steam as indicated
- Basti for chronic Vata pain of the back, hips, and nerves
- Herbal medicines for inflammation, sleep, and digestion
- Posture, walking, and diet advice to reduce flare-ups
